Paper Prototyping
Low-fidelity paper-based mockups are helpful in the requirements-gathering phase of the user centered design process. This technique permits open communication between users and designers because it allows both to articulate ideas through something visual and concrete.
Low-fidelity prototyping can be used to demonstrate screen images as well as design ideas, improvements, and alternatives.
Some purposes of prototyping:
- To check the feasibility of ideas with the users
- To check the usefulness of the application
- To allow users to test ideas and allow them to contribute to the design of the application
